Usually I would just say you’re delusional for actually believing that you can beat sports and then I’d just leave it at that.

Although it’s true that only about 1% of folks who bet on sports do so profitably, I don’t really know that you’re not already one of these elite few people in the world.

If that’s true, and you have proven yourself to be one of the rare 1% that can beat sports, then as long as you are on a legitimate sports book, they won’t kick you off. What they can do is limit your action. Instead of allowing you to bet 500 on a game, maybe you can only bet 25.

OK, I’ll go ahead and end with what I really want to say. (I can’t help myself.) There is a 99% chance that you’ll never have to worry about this anyway.

I have been kicked out of a sportsbook for a combination of reasons…….at that time I was winning a lot & I had figured out a way to amass comp points to the level where everything I did (eat, drink, rooms etc….) were free……and yes management did call me in and I was told to stop or be banned

Yeah, I think 60 Minutes had a special about a man who made a living off of betting sports, but he was banned from just about every casino in Vegas. He had to use hired men to place bets for him.

If this happens to you? Consider it a compliment and start hitting one (or two) of the other K-Zillion books out there. Sport Books are a business and go by the golden rule..

How does making too much money hurt the sports book?

The goal of a sports book is to get even money wagered on each game. When that happens,the sports books can’t lose. If $1,000,000 is bet on Team A and $1,000,000 is bet on Team B then this happens:

1. Those losers are out their collective $1,000,000.

2. The winners get paid even money less 10 percent for the vigorish.

3. So if I bet $1,000 on that game and won, then I get my $1,000 back plus $900 in profit.

In the end the casino makes $100,000 on that game.

So, as long as the bets are even who cares? The worst you do is refuse to take high wagers from a successful sports better. But if you can cover his bets with bets from the opposite side then have at it.
