Can I still play poker online
In the USA is poker online still allowed? Like sportsbook and stuff like that
Yes, you can still play poker online in the U.S. It is a matter of the gambling site allowing U.S. players to gamble with them.
The two federal laws governing online gambling in the U.S. only apply to banking institutions (UIGEA) and to businesses that engage in “gambling over wire (telephone, internet)” (Wire Act of 1961). Neither of these apply to the individual.
States do have their own laws which govern gambling however Washington State is the only state serious about cracking down on online gambling/poker/sports betting.
If you want a good all around sportsbook, poker room, online casino, racebook, try Bodog. They accept all U.S. players
There are still a few decent options for online poker in the U.S. My two favorites are Bodog and BetOnline. More info on them here: http://www.areyouapokerfish.com/pokerrooms
I play on Cake and BetOnline now. BetOnline has so many freerolls too, just dont expect to make much from them and its kinda awful trying to cash in the freerolls that have around 700 entrants and pay 10, but there are options. I think there are 5 sites operating now. Bodog, Juicy Stakes, and I cant remember the other one.
