Lions’ Suh fined $7,500 for rag-doll toss of Delhomme

NEW YORK — Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been fined $7,500 by the NFL for his roughing-the-passer penalty on Cleveland Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme.
Suh grabbed Delhommes face mask and twisted it. He wrapped his arms around the quarterbacks head and slammed him to the ground in an exhibition game last Saturday. Suh says he didnt know Delhomme had thrown the ball before he hit him.
Suh played at Nebraska and was the second overall pick in the April draft.
The fine was announced Friday.
